October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is time to put our pink fabrics to good use. I have my stack ready to cut!

Through October 31, Quilt Love Longarm will be collecting pink 7” quilt blocks to create donation quilts. Any block that finishes 7 1/2" will work as long as the block has pink as the focus color.
PLEASE DO NOT TRIM YOUR BLOCKS
These quilts will be gifted to our local community, to patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Our mission is to provide comfort and love to those facing this disease, reminding them that while their lives may have changed, they are cherished and never forgotten throughout their journey. Join us in showing your support and care!

We have selected two lovely heart blocks, available for free thanks to two amazing designers, at the links below. You can use these heart blocks or piece a different pink 7" block for our heartfelt donations!

The first block we chose was created by Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew, a blogger who has so much amazing info and great resources on her page!

The second block we chose is a pattern published at Generations Quilt Patterns. Their paper pieced heart is super cute! To find the correct block, click here and choose the 7" block option to download and print the paper foundation pattern. This block is great for using long, skinny scraps!

We welcome as many 7" blocks made from pink fabrics as you are able to piece together in October! Our team will assemble the tops and finish the quilts to donate! We will also accept a limited number of unfinished quilt tops to complete and include in this donation to breast cancer warriors. If you’re interested in helping with assembly, please reply to this email or you can send a direct email to community@quiltlovelongarm.com with your contact information.
AND each block submitted is a chance in the drawing for the pink Bella solids fat quarter bundle, a $55 value!
