Shipping Preparations
- Launder all shirts without perfumed detergents or dryer sheets, and lay flat as they come out of the dryer. All animal fur should be removed.
- Do NOT cut your shirts before sending! You will be sending us the whole T-shirt and we will do the dirty work.
- Decide which T-shirts you want to use in your quilt. If you feel you have too many t-shirts, separate out your favorites to use first and also send the remaining shirts to be used if needed. Please clearly indicate and label your favorites separately from the backups. All the t-shirts that are not used will be returned to you. Our design team can help you with this step if you have questions.
- Stains-if they are fine with you, they are fine with us! Some stains can hold certain memories or add character to your quilt. We do NOT remove stains but will try to work around them as best as we can. Please make us a note if you wish not to have particular stains included.
- Please mark parts of the t-shirt that you don’t want to be used. Use painters tape and cover any emblems or areas with an X if you don't want it in your quilt - all graphics will be used. unless marked with an X. Please do NOT make notes on the painters tape as the ink can transfer to other t-shirts. If a note needs to be added, please attach a paper note with a safety pin to the t-shirt.
- Place your shirts in a re-sealable plastic bag. Ziploc makes some lovely extra-large bags!
- Place your name and contact info inside the bag with the shirts.
